About the author

Amanda Rivkin is a strategic communications professional with deep knowledge of security politics. She worked as a senior expert at the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence in Riga, Latvia and as a paralegal for one of America's preeminent criminal defense attorneys specializing in national security cases. She also spent over a decade working as a press photographer, news writer, and editor for Deutsche Welle, The New York Times and other publications in the US and Europe. She holds a master's degree from Georgetown University's Security Studies Program.
